Anne Marie Page Gibson (August 25, 1955 - May 28, 2014) died at age 58 from complications of cancer. Anne was born in San Diego, California, and had resided in Riverside for 28 years. She was employed as an elementary teacher for over 31 years, the last 24 at Sunnyslope Elementary in Jurupa. She retired in June 2010 due to health.
Anne graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1973; Occidental college in 1978 with a BA in History, Cal State San Bernardino in 1992 with a Masters in Education. Anne's wishes were to be cremated and her ashes spread over the ocean.

This is so heartbreaking. Margaret McDonald, Barbara Doty and I satr with Ann under the same tree for lunch all through high school. Because of her diabetes, she had apples and protein. We were all so impressed with her discipline. Years later, I saw her at our reunion and took note of how she had become a jaw-dropping beauty. And I marvelled at how obviously well she had taken care of herself. She was a brave, modest, soulful, kind person that the world desperately needs more of. She's one more piece of evidence that the good die young. Heartfelt sympathy to her family.
