Obituary for Susan Claire Rettig

Marlow: Susan Claire Rettig, 60, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home in Marlow.

Cremation has taken place with memorial services to be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Susan was born Wednesday, December 22, 1954 in Santa Monica, CA, to William Robert and Betty Lou (McLaughlin) Studer. She grew up in the Los Angeles, California area and graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1973. She married Lauren Patrick Rettig in Los Angeles on November 16, 1977. They lived in various places including the LA area and Lindsay, OK until moving to Marlow. Susan was very creative and enjoyed anything that had to do with art. She also loved to work at dog grooming, which she did for many years. In addition, Susan worked along side of her husband constructing and welding trailers and was known for her expertise in building trailer necks.

Survivors include, husband, Lauren Patrick Rettig of Marlow, son, Aaron Paul Studer and wife Joy of Ardmore, son, Michael Roy Rettig and wife Jamie of Ardmore, daughter, Patricia Lynn Keil and husband Brian of Comanche, granddaughter, Paige Lynn Rettig, granddaughter, Lauren Abigail Rettig, grandson, Brian William Keil, Jr., granddaughter, Anna Marie Rettig, granddaughter, Haley Ann Michelle McClendon, sister, Tanya Lynn Kollar of IL, Teresa E Jensen of TN, sister, Anita Matthews of CA.

She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Lou Studer.
